“La main ouverte”
“La main ouverte”, the “open hand” of swiss architect Le Corbusier is a recurring motif in his work. “The Open Hand” is a sign of peace and of reconciliation. Le Corbusier said: “The Open Hand is meant to receive the created riches, and to distribute them to the peoples of the world”. The most prominent version of “La main ouverte” is a 28 meter high version in Chandigarh, India.
